I am a licensed Registered Nurse in Florida with experience in Cardiology, Oncology, and Rehabilitation Nursing. Throughout my bedside experience, I have witnessed how aging and decline of function in the senior population results in lack of basic, but necessary foot maintenance and nail care. As people age they lose flexibility, dexterity, and eyesight. Foot neglect is a growing problem and feet that are not properly cared for can lead to mobility issues, increased risk of falls related to unsteady gait, and hospitalizations or amputations due to infections. Seniors often have medical issues, such as diabetes, which increase their risk of infection. They are a special population that requires special attention and medical care, that cannot be provided by an average foot spa. A foot care nurse is the perfect solution!
